TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR GROUP PROGRAMS

Enrolment

To enrol in all Group programs (French programs, workshops, Cooking classes, French for business, French days for school, After school French workshops, Kids’ holidays programs, etc.)

Payment

The full payment is required a minimum of 48 hours before the first scheduled lesson or the renewal of each class to confirm and secure a booking.

Payment of invoices can be made via direct credit to our bank account (details indicated on the invoice) and emailing a remittance advice to: admin@frenchtopics.com.au

Students must enrol for an entire course

Adult Courses are for students of 18 years old and above, unless otherwise indicated. Students aged between 16 and 17 years old may be able to join an adult class. If a student aged below 18 years old wishes to join a group class for adults, the student must apply to the Programs Coordinator. The Program Coordinator reserves the right to accept or refuse the application.

All fees must be paid in full at time of registration.

Group program fees cannot be transferred towards private lesson fees and vice versa.

Regular attendance is essential to the learning process. If you miss a class you may be able to attend a similar class level during the same week, only if there are places left in that class; please contact the coordinator to organise this.

French Topics & Co. reserves the right to re-arrange or to cancel classes if a minimum number of students is not reached at any time. If French Topics & Co. cancels a class, students can transfer to another class in the current term or be fully refunded.

To ensure that French Topics & Co. delivers the best quality in teaching, French Topics & Co. reserves the right to redirect a student to another class level, at any time, if the student’s level does not match the rest of the class.

Refund

No refund, under any circumstances, will be given to any student who withdraws after the commencement of a course.

If a student withdraws before the beginning of a course, the full amount minus 20% of the course fee will be refunded.

Refund requests must be addressed to the Coordinator in writing and received 72 hours before the beginning of the course. Email: admin@frenchtopics.com.au

No refund, transfer or credit, under any circumstances, will be given for missed classes should a student fail to attend every class or leave before the end of the term.

Discounts are as follows

Regular course fee concessions of 10% are available to full time tertiary students, concession cardholders upon presentation of a valid student card/concession card and to consecutive members of the same family. Senior cardholders can avail of a 30% discount on weekday morning general programs.

5% early bird discount will apply to re-enrolments for the next term program before the end of the current term. Early-bird discounts are available for kids’ holiday classes.

10% discount will apply on the 1st enrolment for new students recommended by a French Topics & Co. student.

Please note that discounts cannot be accumulated. Discounts do not apply on specific programs and workshops

Consumer Data/Privacy policy

All information is stored securely. We do not use or disclose information about your individual visits to our Web Pages or information that you may give us, such as your name, address, email address, cell phone number or any of your clients data, to any outside sources.

By purchasing a private tuition at French Topics & Co., you are agreeing to abide by the following terms and condition:

Payment

Cancelations and changes

Failure to notify French Topics & Co. of a lesson cancelation prior to 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time will result in the full fee being charged for the lesson. All notification must be addressed to the Coordinator by Email: admin@frenchtopics.com.au

Cancellations on behalf of minors must be made by their parent/s or guardian/s.

For shared private tuition amongst multiple students, no split of credit will be possible once the tuition has been organised and paid for. French Topics & Co. will not be held responsible for students’ changes in work commitments or personal circumstances when one student cannot attend the group tuition any more.

In the event of French Topics & Co. experiencing problems at the time of a scheduled lesson and is unable to provide regular services, French Topics & Co. will arrange for another lesson at the earliest convenience for both student and tutor. Alternately, we will charge accordingly and organise a credit note for future lessons.

Refunds and credit notes

Private tuition fees are not refundable.

Private classes start and finish on the agreed time between tutor and student. If a student arrives late to a private lesson, the tutor may not be able to teach longer than the initial agreed time. If a student is running late, we appreciate a courtesy call or SMS: (+61) 497185559.

In special circumstances, when a lesson is missed for medical reasons and supporting documentation is provided, a partial credit note can be organised at the discretion of French Topics & Co. and on request.

Payment Policy

We ask for a non-refundable deposit to secure a booking. Payment of deposit and balance can be made via direct credit to our bank account (all details are indicated on the invoice) and emailing a remittance advice to: admin@frenchtopics.com.au or cash upon arrival.

Cancellation Policy

At least 48 hours notice must be given for all cancellations.
Charges will be taking for the full stay for cancellations made within 48 hours of the arrival date. In the event of no show on the arrival date, full payment will be taken.
